We're looking for an Environmental Cleaner to join our hardworking, friendly team based in the South Cotswold area. This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same.
What You'll Be Doing
* Travelling across a number of unstaffed / staffed stations in the South Cotswold region using a company vehicle
* Litter picking, bin maintenance, poster updates, and keeping station areas clear and tidy
* Removing graffiti, managing weeds/vegetation, and completing minor repairs
* Using power tools (e.g. strimmers, hedge trimmers) and approved chemicals (e.g. weed killer) – don’t worry, we\'ll train you!
* Connecting with station community groups and supporting local initiatives
* In colder months, helping de-ice and salt platforms to keep passengers safe
* Providing great customer service whenever you\'re on the move
What We're Looking For
We\'re looking for someone who:
* Has a flexible approach to working hours – start times can vary, especially in winter
* Is enthusiastic about working with community rail groups and making local stations shine
* Can work independently or as part of a team, using initiative to solve problems as they arise
* Is confident using smartphones/tablets and open to learning new tech
* Has a full, clean driving licence – a company vehicle is provided for station visits
* Is comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
Key Details
* Shift work including weekends and bank holidays
* Location: South Cotswold + travel to unstaffed stations across the region occasionally helping in the Central region to cover sickness / leave
* Full training provided – no prior experience with tools or chemicals required

Additional information
Due to the nature of the shifts work involved in these roles, applicants must be 18 years of age or older to apply.
Interviews for shortlisted candidates are provisionally scheduled for the week beginning 17th November 2025.
What to Expect?
* Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a competency-based interview.
* Full training will be provided, including a 2/3-week training programme in Swindon.
