An exciting new role working within the Somerset area. Effectively and proactively manage and support all operational staff, plant and customers ensuring the successful completion of all aspects of complex projects scope.
Within this role you will supervise and execute all works to be most effective and support the efficient running of the service delivery and business.
More about the role:
* Responsible for the project delivery of Complex Projects, as determined by the business. Preparing quotations, arranging works, access, hire items and programmes
* Provide an end-to-end delivery of complex projects from inception to final reporting and invoicing
* Ensure all correct equipment is in suitable condition and on vehicles as required in order to carry out all duties effectively to completion. Hire additional equipment as required to complete a job
* Hold full responsibility for effective communication with all field staff at all times: rearrange any work requirement should this be needed
* Ensure appropriately trained staff to complete works to a safe and required standard. Additionally, to ensure all paperwork and documentation is available to ensure field staff properly informed
* To carry out any site visits necessary to ensure correct and full RAMS be completed for all jobs. Method statements and Risk assessments should be subject to regular review, and updated as required. The Project Manager has overall responsibility for the health and safety of all employees working on their projects
* To collate and check all paperwork and pass to the appropriate department for processing in a timely manner
* Implement new procedures & processes as required, ensuring the service is fully compliant
* Deputising for members of staff during annual leave as required; e.g. Head of Operations, Operations Managers
About you:
* Transferable project management experience, including; pricing, planning, delivery, financial management and reporting
* Knowledge & experience gained within the water industry, or a similar environment
* Understanding and knowledge of health and safety at work, experience of implementing safe systems of work, with a track record of managing the health and wellbeing of operational staff
* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with colleagues, workforce and clients at all levels
* Excellent organisational and time-management skills
* Previous experience of confined spaces, Street Works, CDM regulations would be desirable
* A full UK driving licence
* Right to work in the UK is essential
