At The Jane Austen Experience, our mission is to inform, entertain, and make every visitor happy. We are currently looking for enthusiastic and hard-working Gift Shop Assistants to join our friendly and dedicated team.
We are recruiting for both part-time and full-time positions, with flexible hours available.
Key Responsibilities:
* Confidently sell our range of high-quality gift items to the public
* Develop strong product knowledge and share information about our unique merchandise
* Greet and engage warmly with visitors from all over the world
* Provide exceptional customer service at all times
* Ensure the gift shop is clean, well-stocked, and visually appealing
* Process transactions accurately and efficiently using the till system
* Act as a positive ambassador for The Jane Austen Experience
What We're Looking For:
* Excellent people skills with a friendly, outgoing personality
* Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated with a strong work ethic
* Willingness to learn and develop retail skills in a cultural environment
* A genuine enthusiasm for customer service and visitor engagement
* Flexibility to adapt to the needs of a busy visitor attraction
* An interest in history, literature, or Jane Austen is a plus, but not essential
