The Role
As a Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for bringing in new customer business for one or more of our business lines, delivering on quarterly new business targets. You will understand customer needs and identify sales opportunities through calls, emails, and meetings. Opportunities will come from inbound leads, self-generated prospects, and colleagues' prospecting efforts. You will qualify opportunities and progress the sales cycle from identification to close. This role carries a sales quota, and you will be expected to meet quarterly targets and activity KPIs. Success requires developing market knowledge, including trends in Technology and Education, and understanding how RM’s products and services connect to these trends.
Responsibilities
1. Opportunity Generation & Qualification
Develop new sales opportunities via outbound calls, emails, and follow-ups. Use databases to identify targets. Understand customer needs and qualify opportunities. Build knowledge of products and market needs, collaborating with marketing and prospecting teams.
2. Pipeline Management
Manage opportunities through the sales pipeline, track progress, ensure regular contact, identify risks, and forecast accurately. Maintain data within the CRM system.
3. Delivering the Sales Cycle
Engage potential customers, qualify leads, provide advice, quotes, handle questions, and close sales.
