Overview
The Warehouse Operator is responsible for supporting safe, efficient, and compliant warehouse and production operations. This role involves handling goods in and out, maintaining hygiene standards, supporting engineering and safety processes, and contributing to continuous improvement across the site.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Duties
* Ensure the safe operation of all production and warehouse facilities.
* Operate warehouse equipment for the un-loading and loading of raw materials and engineering goods. FLT licence essential.
* Assist colleagues and supervisors during emergencies or incidents.
* Work with Engineering teams to minimise breakdowns, reduce downtime, and support planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
* Undertake site improvement works as required, particularly those linked to audit compliance.
Hygiene & Environmental Responsibilities
* Carry out hygiene tasks to ensure safe, clean, and compliant operation of the site.
* Maintain cleanliness of work areas, equipment and warehousing
* Follow hygiene schedules and complete cleaning documentation accurately.
* Support pest control measures across the site and ensure daily operations minimise pest risks.
* Work within the Environmental Management System to meet internal and external standards, including ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 requirements.
Health, Safety & Compliance
* Follow all site safety procedures and use required PPE at all times.
* Assist in maintaining a safe working environment by reporting hazards, unsafe conditions, or equipment issues.
* Participate in emergency response activities when required.
Training & Team Support
* Assist in the training of colleagues where appropriate.
* Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
* Contribute to a positive, safety‑focused, and hygiene‑driven workplace culture.
