Company Description

One of the most elegant country house hotels in the Cotswolds, Buckland Manor is part of the AA Hotel Group of the Year 2017-18 and is tucked away in a tranquil corner of the village of Buckland, next to the old village church. Set in 10 acres of grounds, with 4 AA red stars, 3 AA rosettes, and a member of Relais & Châteaux since 1995, Buckland Manor offers employees the opportunity to work within a traditional, yet friendly English country house hotel. The hotel can offer on-site staff accommodation in order to help the newest members of the team settle into life at the hotel and local area.


Salary and role

Salary: £38,000 to £40,000 per annum, plus service charge

Service charge can be in the region of £305 a month (around £3,600 per year) over and above base pay, for a full time employee.


Responsibilities

* Preparation of fresh food
* Leadership of a section
* Using your advanced knife skills
* Having an advanced knowledge of allergens
* Partaking in the cleaning rota
* Labelling of food on your section
* Completing daily kitchen audits
* Writing allergen matrix
* Ordering stock on Procure Wizard
* Management of kitchen team
* Running of service
* Kitchen staff rotas


Qualifications / Requirements

This role would suit someone who has worked in a similar environment previously. You will need to be a hands-on chef who leads from the front, be knowledgeable about different cooking styles, be good at developing others and be happy to be part of the kitchen management team.
