With stores in Longborough, Thame, and Alton–and a 12-acre timber yard–we offer over 20,000 products, from nuts and bolts to fencing and large animal handling systems.
Our HQ is based in the beautiful Cotswold village of Longborough, surrounded by public footpaths for lunchtime walks and fresh air.

ROLE SUMMAY:
We are seeking a results-driven Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive growth across our product lines. Our company strategy focuses on sustainable growth, and we aim to expand our reach and reputation in the market. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales management and a proven track record of developing strategies that enhance revenue and market share. This role will be crucial in executing our growth plans and fostering a high-performing sales environment that aligns with our objectives.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Strategic Planning: Develop and implement sales strategies (Sales Representatives, Account Management) focused on driving growth and expanding the customer base. Identify new market opportunities and trends to ensure the company remains competitive.
* Processes: Evaluate and analyse existing company processes to ensure alignment with business objectives. Implement necessary adjustments and introduce new procedures as required. Ensure all staff are adequately trained on these processes and maintain accountability for adherence to them.
* Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and collective sales targets. Foster a high-performance culture through training, support, and performance evaluation. You would have a team of eighteen individuals, five of whom would directly report into you. Our varied sales team includes both experienced professionals and junior staff, creating a dynamic environment where different areas of expertise complement each other and foster collaborative innovation.
* Sales Forecasting: Analyse market dynamics and sales data to produce accurate forecasts. Use insights to adjust strategies as necessary for continued growth.
* Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders. Ensure customer satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling across our three locations.
* Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on sales metrics, setting goals and assessing team performance. Use data analysis to refine sales tactics and improve outcomes.
* Collaboration: Work closely with marketing and product development teams to align sales strategies with product offerings and marketing campaigns.
* Budget Management: Oversee the sales budget, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to maximize growth potential.
* Training and Development: Create and implement training programs (includes coaching and mentoring) for new and existing sales team members to enhance their skills and knowledge of products and sales techniques.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* 8+ years of sales experience, with at least 5 years in a management role.
* Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving profitable growth.
* Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate a team.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
