Commercial Accountant

This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional to step into a commercially focused role that blends financial insight with operational performance.
The ideal candidate will bring proven experience from a manufacturing environment and will play a vital role in analysing financial data, supporting key business decisions, and partnering with commercial and operational teams to drive sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as a key financial business partner to commercial and operational teams
* Analyse and interpret performance data including margins, product profitability, and sales performance
* Provide commercial insights and recommendations to support decision-making
* Deliver accurate and timely budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
* Prepare monthly commercial reports and support finance in the production of management accounts
* Track and report promotional spend, rebates, pricing models, and customer profitability
* Manage cost analysis and support product costing initiatives
* Assist in the development and implementation of KPIs across departments
* Support the bid and tender process with robust financial modelling
* Contribute to strategic and operational improvement initiatives
What We're Looking For
* Proven commercial finance experience within a manufacturing environment (essential)
* Fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or part-qualified with strong relevant experience
* Strong financial modelling, analytical, and problem-solving skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (SAP or similar preferred)
* Comfortable challenging and supporting stakeholders at all levels
* A collaborative and proactive approach to driving business performance
* High attention to detail with the ability to see the bigger picture
* Confident communicator with strong commercial acumen
