BAM FM is recruiting a Contract Manager to be based in Castle Donnington. This is a site-based role with the post holder working on site 5 days per week.
Your mission
You will be responsible for the overall operational delivery of all hard services on site, H&S management, and coordination of all FM services required by the contract, including M&E, L8, Fire, and Building Fabric. The post holder will manage a team of 4 engineers and third-party subcontractors.
* Taking full profit and loss accountability for the contract.
* Ensuring statutory compliance across the site is maintained.
* Working collaboratively with the helpdesk team to ensure all SLA/KPI targets are achieved.
* Arranging and controlling reactive maintenance and repair works.
* Managing minor project works and collaborating with the internal project team on complex projects.
* Managing the on-site engineering team and nominated subcontractors.
* Managing client relationships.
* Coordinating activities involving multiple trades, including permit to work management.
* Identifying opportunities for contract growth and expansion.
* Ensuring the efficient use of all resources allocated to service delivery.
* Assisting in identifying employee development needs to meet company objectives.
* Ensuring services are delivered in accordance with contract specifications.
* Applying good commercial, management, and industry practices.
* Adhering to quality, environmental, safety, and health management systems.
* Complying with statutory and legislative requirements, standards, and codes of practice.
* Following BAM FM policies.
* Ensuring all facilities and services meet contract requirements.
* Operating services in the most economical and efficient manner.
* Implementing and monitoring BAM FM health and safety procedures.
* Ensuring contractors adhere to safe working practices.
Keeping records in line with legislative and BAM FM requirements.
* Liaising with client representatives at all levels.
* Preparing concise monthly reports for the client.
* Participating in the site on-call rota.
Who are we looking for?
* Must be a time-served Mechanical or Electrical trained individual.
* HNC or equivalent vocational qualifications in mechanical or electrical disciplines, with experience in operating and maintaining large facilities.
* NEC4 FMC qualification is required, or willingness to undergo training to obtain it.
* Relevant service management experience in facilities management.
* Experience working in critical environments and managing engineering teams.
* Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication, organization, motivation, and staff development skills.
* Experience in hard service delivery.
* Membership of a professional body is desirable.
* Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CMMS, and finance software.
* Must pass an enhanced DBS check and client-specific security clearance.
* Full UK driving license.
