The Role of the Business Development Manager
7. Manage and grow key commercial accounts for bulk LPG and renewable LPG within a defined regional territory
8. Identify and secure new business opportunities to drive profitable growth within the sector
9. Implement national sales strategies at a local level to achieve performance targets
10. Deliver KPIs including volume, revenue, gross margin, customer retention, and re-contracting
11. Develop long-term relationships with key customers and internal stakeholders to maximise opportunities
12. Proactively manage your sales pipeline including prospecting, renewals, and pricing strategies
13. Represent the business at relevant industry events to build brand presence and generate leads
14. Monitor competitor activity and market trends to inform strategy
15. Promote cross-sell opportunities including non-gas revenue streams
16. Accurately report and forecast via CRM systems and internal tools
17. Regular travel across the territory with occasional national travel
The Ideal Person for the Business Development Manager
18. Will consider candidates from any background with proven experience in B2B sales or business development
19. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage profit, margin, and volume targets
20. Background in energy, LPG, utilities, or technical industrial sectors preferred but not essential
21. Full UK driving licence required
