About the Role
Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in Hastings to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Fully Qualified Teacher of Mathematics. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated educator to join a supportive department committed to delivering high-quality teaching and strong student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners, supporting progress and attainment
Monitor, assess, and report on student performance in line with school policies
Contribute to the development of the Maths curriculum and departmental resources
Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning
Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and professional development opportunities
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
Proven experience teaching Mathematics up to Key Stage 4
Experience teaching Key Stage 5 is desirable but not essential
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Mathematics education
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
