About the role
We are seeking to appoint a Systems and Coordinator to join the Housing Services Department to contribute to the day-to-day operations of all housing software and systems that enable the allocation and management of around 5000 bedspaces.
You will assist the Housing IT Systems and Administration Manager and Housing Systems and Administration Officer with the daily management of all student accommodation-related systems. This will include the Star-Rez database, the online shop, interaction with Unit 4 and Oracle central database, Web Content Manager and other University systems. Working as part of a team, you will provide up-to-date and accurate information, advice and guidance to students, managers and staff at all levels on a specified range of services, procedures or policies.
Your main focus will be for the administration of the rent rebate process, the administration of student charges as well as management of housing waiting lists. You will also ensure that Housing Social Media Content is up to date.
You will produce information for training and guidance for the Summer Assistants and regularly liaise with service users and operational teams in relation to queries and requests.
About you
Ideally, you will have had prior experience in social media applications including Canva Suite, Instagram and Discord. You will have outstanding interpersonal and administration skills as well as competent IT skills to effectively manage your workload, mainly on MS Suite. You will have confidence in working with internal and external partners on regular basis. You will take ownership of service requests and enquiries received by the Systems Team. You will be proactive in supporting the wider team and suggesting improvements when and where appropriate.
