The company designs, manufactures and distributes a portfolio of innovative construction site safety equipment with the principle range offering solutions across composite products. These are recognised leaders in their technical design and importantly ease of use capabilities. Through both end user and distributor channels product's are now sold across thirty countries. Although mature, the UK remains a strong market where product demand remains high due to growth in large scale infrastructure and engineering projects, highway upgrades as well as within smaller house building developments.
This opportunity offers a strong platform in which to steer UK business development to the next level. Sponsorship of this function is total from the Board and you will be operating in an open and supportive culture at all times.
In short you will be responsible for developing the sales strategy for the UK market within new and existing end-user customers in major utilities, highways and construction sectors and will generate profitable sales growth from demand generation.
Responsibilities
* Structure and deliver strategic UK sales plans that reflect genuine scale and market penetration
* Convert end-user influencers within major utilities to secure product approvals
* Have a span of influence across the industry and share ongoing information for marketing purposes
* Manage the sales forecasting and demand planning in partnership with manufacturing capability
* Share in regional best practice (UK) with international colleagues
* Drive increasing levels in sales performance with an eye on medium and longer term objectives
* Make recommendations for product design improvements and NPD opportunities
* Partner closely with the Board to agree and balance the strategic thinking
* Fully contribute to shaping the go to market actions that drive flawless execution against both goals
Qualifications
* Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent experience
* 8-10 years\' prior industry related (construction, street works, infrastructure) sales experience
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Proven knowledge and execution of successful development strategies
* Focused and goal-oriented
* Evidenced technical sales / business development experience
* Focused in approach, hungry for success yet team player in outlook
