Role Overview
NHS Lanarkshire is seeking a Locum Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a specialist interest in Upper Limb to join our Trauma and Orthopaedic Service at University Hospital Wishaw, with cross‑site working as required.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide specialist upper‑limb orthopaedic care, including shoulder, elbow and hand surgery.
* Deliver patient‑focused care in outpatient clinics, operative sessions and the trauma rota.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support safe, effective patient care.
* Contribute to service development, governance and quality improvement initiatives aligned with orthopaedic redesign programmes.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Fully registered with the GMC.
* Demonstrated relevant upper‑limb experience.
* Commitment to clinical governance, teamwork and service improvement.
Contract Details
12‑month locum post on a full‑time basis (10 PAs).
