Due to continued growth, our client, a multinational manufacturing organisation based in Northern Ireland, has a requirement for a Quality Inspector to work with multifunctional teams throughout the organisation, ensuring that products are delivered to meet costs, quality, and schedule.
Responsibilities
1. Quality Control and Technical Support: Conduct quality inspections including goods receiving inspection to AQL, visual and dimensional verification of components, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is complete, legible, and correct. Perform First Article Inspections and prepare FAIRs meeting AS9102 requirements. Inspect returned or queried goods for compliance to drawings.
2. Material Coordination: Manage rejected and replacement materials, including scrap, return to supplier, or use as is. Coordinate ECN dispositions similarly, ensuring scrap items are rendered unusable and maintaining evidence.
3. Supplier Quality Monitoring: Monitor supplier quality, provide NCR feedback, and analyze supplier performance. Prepare, review, and close 3C/8D corrective action requests to prevent recurrence of non-conformances.
4. Customer Liaison: Collaborate with customers or account specialists to verify product information as needed.
5. Stock Management: Conduct stock purges as required and maintain calibration of inspection devices.
6. Additional Duties: Perform other quality-related tasks as required.
7. Technical Skills: Proficient in Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel), able to read and interpret engineering drawings, and use standard measuring equipment such as digital calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and go/no go gauges.
8. Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an inspection environment.
