The Role
We are looking for an experienced Employee Relations Consultant to support the transformation and ongoing evolution of Employee Relations (ER) at Deloitte. You will manage complex case management and contribute to organisational change activities such as restructures, M&A, divestments and TUPEs. You will act as a trusted advisor to HR and business stakeholders, advising on all aspects of complex advisory and case management. Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will bring broad experience across all areas of ER with a commercial mindset. Experience within consulting, commercial or financial services environments is essential.
Deliverables: Responsibilities but not limited to:
* Partner with ER colleagues, HR teams and business leaders to deliver a high-quality, commercially focused employee relations service.
* Provide expert guidance on complex and sensitive employee relations cases
* Lead the ER delivery of organisational change activity, including redundancy, restructure, TUPE/M&A activity and changes to terms and conditions.
* Contribute to the development and evolution of people policy, governance and ER best practice.
* Work within a service delivery model, consistently meeting deadlines, service standards and performance expectations.
* Help strengthen a trusted, forward-looking ER function that supports the firm’s strategic priorities and values.
* Use case management systems and other technology effectively to manage workflow and support high-quality delivery.
* Use data and insight to identify trends, shape recommendations and support proactive interventions.
* Build ER capability across People Leaders and HR through coaching, guidance and training.
* Operate with agility in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities while maintaining quality and pace.
* Contribute to the continued development of a best-in-class ER service delivery model.
* Support transformation and continuous improvement activity, bringing a proactive, solutions-focused approach to change.
* Build strong and effective relationships with stakeholders across the business and wider HR community.
Essential Skills / Experience
* Proven experience in employee relations within a consulting, commercial or financial services environment
* Expertise in complex case management - including knowledge of ACAS early conciliation, litigation, employment tribunals, grievances, long term sickness, appeals, disciplinaries and settlement agreements
* Experience of organisational change and transformation programmes, including restructures, redundancy, M&A, tribunals, TUPEs, changes to terms and conditions and individual and collective consultation
* Stakeholders Management - act as a trusted advisor. Collaborate and advise senior business stakeholders (partners and directors) regarding ER matters and apply commercial thinking in decision-making.
* Knowledge of UK employment law and its practical application in a business setting
* Able to work independently in a fast paced environment and manage ambiguity.
* Continuous improvement mindset, with a proactive approach to enhance services and ways of working.
* Knowledge of ServiceNow or case management platform is desirable but not essential.
