Duties & Responsibilities
* Dealing with multiple drivers
* Communicating with ports
* Booking delivery slots for entry in ports
* Using a Transport system called TOPS for setting driver start times and finish times
* Chasing drivers for ETAs and ensuring on-time arrival
* Rerouting jobs as needed
* Checking all PODs are matched with the correct jobs on the system
* Informing customers about potential delays and advising ETAs
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Transport Operator – Essential
* Confident and clear communicator – written and verbal
* Excellent UK geographical knowledge
* Ability to work on own initiative
* Quick and efficient problem solving skills
* Organised at all times
* Flexibility to meet the demands of the business
