Overview
Our client is currently recruiting for an ICorr Level 2 Coatings Inspector for a 6-8 week contract. The work will be based from Barry, South Wales and will involve monitoring and reporting on the quality standards of the application of coatings and surface treatments.
Responsibilities
* Perform daily coating inspections and testing in accordance with the guidance specified in the relative Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) and recording results
* Monitoring and reporting compliance with quality standards with procedures that regulate the preparation and application of coatings and surface treatments.
* Reviewing and understanding various client specifications
* Understanding corrosion, surface preparation, cleanliness, environmental conditions, test instruments, coating mixtures, and safety.
* Completing inspection documents on computer
* Ensuring inspection and test equipment is serviceable before use
Requirements
* Minimum 2 years experience as a coating inspector.
* Coatings industry experience that includes a coatings inspection associated with a large project
* ISO:9001 quality systems awareness
* Construction health and safety awareness
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
