Technical Lead – Data Protection & Classification Programme
6 month Contract Initially (4 Days Per Week)
Role Purpose
We are seeking a Technical Lead to design and deliver our enterprise data classification and protection programme.
The role will lead the implementation of Microsoft Purview-based data discovery, labelling and protection controls, while also developing the supporting policies, standards and operating model required to embed data ownership and accountability across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead end-to-end delivery of the Data Classification & Protection programme
* Define roadmap, milestones, deliverables and success measures
* Manage pilot rollout (e.g. HR, Investor Relations, Finance) and phased enterprise deployment
* Report progress, risks and decisions to executive stakeholders
2. Technical Design & Implementation
* Design and implement Microsoft Purview configuration (data discovery, sensitivity labels, DLP, encryption)
* Ensure integration with M365, SharePoint, Exchange and structured data sources
* Establish monitoring, alerting and reporting mechanisms
