Base pay range

£36,000 per annum pro‑rata

Introduction

We are located in an affordable, urban environment, whilst having regular rail and tram links to Birmingham with the Mailbox and Bullring shopping centres and multiple theatres. There are regular train links to Birmingham airport close by. The Shropshire Hills and Wales are just a short drive away.

We are a hospital practice with 8 branch practices, which are a mix of GP and sole charge clinics. At the hospital, facilities include endoscopy, ultrasound, digital radiography, laparoscopic surgery, separate dental room with x‑ray, 2 operating theatres, full lab equipment, large kennels and isolation facilities. The branches also have a wide range of excellent facilities including microscopy, 3 with dental x‑ray, one laparoscopic surgery. The larger branches have ultrasound and lab facilities.


Roles & Responsibilities

You will work 40 hours per week which will be split over 4 days per week with the same weekday off each week. Hours will be 8.30am‑7pm or 9am‑7pm depending on hospital/branch. You will also be required to work 1 in 5 Saturdays 8.45am‑4.30pm. You will be paired with one of our vets to allow one‑to‑one training. Our well‑practiced training programme of supporting surgery and consulting skills in our GP branches, whilst having access to scrubbing in for more advanced surgeries, ultrasound training, dentistry training and help with management of more complex medical cases at our hospital.
