The closing date is 26 May 2026
The Lancashire Cardiac Centre is a tertiary cardiac provider for the people of Lancashire & Cumbria. The centre has well‑established invasive and non‑invasive services covering a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic services, including cardiac angiography & intervention, device implants and follow‑ups, EP simple and complex, and echocardiography. All these areas are constantly evolving as new technologies are introduced.
Due to a vacancy an opportunity has arisen to recruit a Band 6 Cardiac Physiologist in the Cardiac Investigations Unit. Candidates should have good experience in cardiology procedures and be willing to progress their career in either pacing and electrophysiology or echocardiography.
We are looking for physiologists who relish the challenge of being part of the team that will take our department forward into the future. The post holder will possess a BSc in clinical physiology (or equivalent) and will develop their knowledge and skills.
As a multidisciplinary department, the successful candidate will be expected to work unsupervised in most areas and develop in the field of their speciality. Candidates who may lack experience in some areas will be provided with training plans devised by our training manager to address their training needs.
