The Opportunity:
Due to increasing worldwide business opportunities requiring the introduction of several new products, as well as an increased demand for existing products, the Company is expanding the manufacturing engineering department in the Dundee Manufacturing Centre (DMC), to optimise time to market and maximise the efficient use of equipment and labour.
The Candidate:
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will be a key contributor to the successful delivery of new product introductions and process improvements. The qualified candidate will be responsible for defining, developing, and implementing robust manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost:effectiveness from concept to production. This is a hands:on role that requires a blend of technical expertise, problem:solving skills, and strong project management capabilities. The role will require manufacturing process improvement experience, and thorough understanding of fundamental lean manufacturing principles. The role also provides cover for Senior Manager, Manufacturing Engineering in daily operation activities during periods of unavailability.

Lead and participate in new product introduction (NPI) projects, ensuring manufacturing readiness.

Deploy new products within the Dundee Manufacturing Centre, interacting with design engineering to ensure design for manufacturing (DFM) issues are addressed and incorporated in new designs.

Contribute to a cross functional team environment with Design Engineering, Production, Procurement, and Planning to realise improved time to market with new products and to maintain our current production capability.

Design, develop, and implement efficient and cost:effective manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment.

Optimise existing manufacturing processes to improve productivity, reduce waste, and enhance quality.

Conduct process capability studies, FMEAs, and control plans to ensure process robustness.

Identify and implement digitisation and automation opportunities to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
