Introduction to the role: Are you passionate about woodworking and looking for a meaningful way to make a difference? We're seeking a dedicated and skilled woodworking instructor to join our team in a unique and impactful role. In this position, you will have the opportunity to teach and guide individuals within the prison system, helping them develop valuable woodworking skills while fostering personal growth and rehabilitation.
As a woodworking instructor, you will lead hands-on workshops, teaching prisoners how to create a range of items – from chopping boards to tables and chairs – all while nurturing their creativity and work ethic. Your role will go beyond just instruction; you'll be helping to instill a sense of pride and accomplishment in those you teach, while also taking requests from different areas of the prison to craft meaningful, functional pieces.
