UX Designer
Edinburgh (Remote)
Up to £500 p/d (Inside IR35)
8 week contract
We're looking for a UX Designer to deliver user research insights and design solutions across a range of external-facing digital projects, working within an Agile team to solve user problems and enhance overall experience.
Recent work includes:
* New Google Maps-based functionality
* Launch of a Business Support Hub
* Improvements to site search
* Introduction of favouriting features
* Ongoing Design System rollout
What you'll do:
* Conduct UX research and translate insights into actionable design solutions
* Produce sketches, prototypes, wireframes and user journeys
* Collaborate with designers, developers and wider technical teams
* Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
* Use qualitative and quantitative tools to evaluate product performance
* Ensure accessibility compliance (WCAG) and Design System alignment
What you'll bring:
* Degree or equivalent experience in UX Design
* Strong understanding of UX methods: prototyping, testing, journey mapping, user research
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Self-starter mindset, able to work independently
* Knowledge of Agile, Jira, Figma and Design Systems
* Understanding of HTML/CSS (desirable)
