Job Title:Building Safety Coordinator / Business Support
Location:Edmonton Centre, Enfield
Salary / Pay Rate:£18-20 per hour
Job Type:Full-time, Temporary (36 hours per week)
The Role
We're working with a Council to recruit a Building Safety Coordinator to play a vital role in ensuring the safety and compliance of high-rise residential buildings within the council's housing stock.
You'll be responsible for carrying out regular inspections, managing compliance documentation, and acting as the main point of contact for residents on building safety matters. This is a community-focused role requiring both fieldwork and administrative duties, supporting the Estate Operations team to deliver a safe and responsive service.
Key duties include:
* Conducting safety inspections and contributing to fire risk assessments
* Supporting compliance with the Building Safety Act and other health & safety legislation
* Liaising with internal teams and external contractors
* Maintaining and updating safety documentation (including PCFRAs)
* Providing support to residents and ensuring effective communication on safety matters
* Delivering business administration support to the Estate Operations team

The Candidate
We're looking for candidates with:
* Experience in building safety, housing, compliance, or a similar field

* Experience conducting inspections and managing documentation
* A proactive and resident-focused approach
