Your core duties will involve:
* Providing accurate cost advice and reporting to our clients
* Delivering projects, commissions and professional assignments
* Leading commercial management services with limited supervision
* Assume a leading role within the team and foster a collaborative, innovative environment where talent can thrive
* Maintaining effective communication to ensure all information is available for the successful completion of projects
* Delivering all work outputs in an accurate and timely manner
* Liaising with other managers to ensure good resource allocation and efficient financial control
* Providing support to the team leader/service leaders in cost management of projects
* Representing the company in a professional and diligent manner; meeting, negotiating and corresponding with clients to form strong working relationships
What skills and attributes are we looking for from you
* BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
* Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS)
* Awareness of sustainability requirements, the need for carbon reduction, carbon assessments and option studies
* Data Skills including preparing cost analyses, benchmarking and dashboard and smart reporting
* Public/private sector experience ideally experience gained from some of the following: new build, cut & carve, refurbishment and fit out - offices, healthcare, residential, hospitality, major projects, government and leisure & retail
* Pre and post-contract experience
* Proficient CostX or other Cost Planning software
* Good technical writing, client-facing and communication skills
* Well-organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined and commercially astute
* A team player with a can-do attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful and flexible
