We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to support the daily operations of our Ofsted-regulated children’s home. The Deputy Manager will assist the Registered Manager in providing high-quality care, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, and promoting positive outcomes for children in our care.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Registered Manager in the leadership and management of the home.
Oversee day-to-day operations, staff supervision, and scheduling.
Ensure all care plans, risk assessments, and records are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with Ofsted and regulatory standards.
Provide guidance, mentoring, and training to care staff to maintain high standards of practice.
Monitor and report on children’s progress, wellbeing, and safeguarding concerns.
Foster a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children.
Participate in staff recruitment, appraisals, and performance management.
Ensure the home operates within budgetary and organisational policies.
Support the Registered Manager during inspections and audits.
Requirements:
NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a residential children’s care setting
Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and child protection
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
