Individual Needs Assistant - Cavendish School Primary Phase. Part-time, term-time only. 32.5 hours per week. Salary £24,796 pro rata; Actual pay £18,816. Fixed term attached to the pupil.
Working pattern: 32.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 08:15am – 3:15pm). Term Time Only plus INSET days. The above salary is pro rata because of part-time/term-time working.

About the role
The Cavendish School, Eastbourne, is looking for a highly motivated and committed Individual Needs Assistant who is passionate and enthusiastic to join the Primary Phase as part of our all-through status. The role involves promoting the learning and personal development of pupils to enable them to make the most of educational opportunities available to them. You will work in the primary phase to support pupils in learning and wellbeing, share good practice in the classroom and at play/lunchtimes, and provide one-to-one SEN pupil support.
You will join a team of dedicated and caring staff in establishing outstanding provision, learning and progress for all our pupils.
Responsibilities
* Support pupils in a classroom environment and during play/lunchtimes
* Promote learning and personal development for assigned pupils
* Share good practice with colleagues and contribute to a positive learning environment
* Provide one-to-one SEN pupil support as required
Requirements
* Experience of supporting children in a classroom environment
* Knowledge and understanding of child development
* Ability to establish good relationships with pupils, staff and parents
* Excellent organisational skills
