Architectural Technician job available with an AJ100 Architectural practice. This growing practice offers career progression, development, and flexible/hybrid working. With their projects being featured in a number of industry and lifestyle publications on a regular basis, the practice's portfolio of projects ranges from beautiful historical buildings and private homes to commercial properties and interiors.
Due to confirmed long-term projects, including residential and specialist stonework projects, they now require Architectural Technicians at various levels to join the team
Role & Responsibilities
Lead and deliver bespoke private residential projects across all RIBA work stages
Produce detailed technical drawings and specifications, ensuring compliance with UK building regulations
Collaborate with clients, consultants, and contractors, managing relationships and project progress
Manage programmes of work, coordinating internal and external teams
Contribute to the creative and technical development of projects, with attention to detail and design quality
Undertake site visits and oversee contract administration duties
Support financial and resource planning for allocated projects
Operate independently and as part of a wider team, managing workload efficiently.
Required Skills & Experience
A minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience in UK-based architecture
Strong technical background in residential detailing, ideally with experience on high-end bespoke homes
Proven experience delivering projects through all work stages, including planning and construction
Excellent knowledge of UK building regulations, construction types, and building systems
Experience with contract administration and financial oversight of projects
Strong communication skills with the confidence to liaise with clients and stakeholders
Proactive and detail-oriented with a practical, problem-solving mindset
ArchiCAD experience is desirable but not essential (training provided)
Interest in traditional or classical architecture is desirable, though not essential.
