CTAC Health Care Support Worker
NHS Borders is looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable individual to join our CTAC team in Galashiels Health Centre. This fixed‑term post (until 30/09/2026) will support our registered nurses and offers the opportunity to develop experience and skills in many areas of care such as phlebotomy, recording vital signs, urinalysis, ECGs and wound management.

Responsibilities
* Provide person‑centred care for patients.
* Collect phlebotomy samples and perform urinalysis.
* Record vital signs and assist with ECGs.
* Participate in wound management and other clinical duties.
* Use IT systems for patient records.
* Travel as required – access to a vehicle and a full driving licence is essential.
* Work autonomously in a fast‑paced environment.
Qualifications & Experience
* Good communication skills.
* Experience preferable but full training will be provided.
* Ability to use IT systems.
* Family‑friendly hours spread across the week (Monday–Friday).
* Access to a vehicle and a full driving licence.

* Seniority level: Entry level
* Employment type: Part‑time (full‑time hours 37 hrs per week, part‑time pro‑rata).
* Location: CTAC Central (Galashiels, Earlston, Stow and Lauder, Melrose).
