Your Role
As a Residential Support Worker, you will:
* Provide flexible and individualized care packages for our children and young adults.
* Work collaboratively within a supportive team that values your unique contributions.
* Receive training in ‘Developmental Trauma’ and therapeutic parenting to enhance your ability to support our young people effectively.
Main Responsibilities
* Support children and young people, understanding the challenges they face.
* Work a rotating shift pattern, including 7 x 24-hour shifts with sleep-ins.
* Promote and safeguard the welfare of our young people.
* Build and maintain positive, trusting relationships.
* Encourage the development of individual interests.
* Collaborate effectively as part of a team, accepting guidance and direction.
What We’re Looking For
* Experience working with children and young people.
* Flexibility in availability for shift work.
* A willingness to pursue a Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma or equivalent, with the goal of upgrading to Level 4.
* A full UK driving license and access to a car for travel.
* Excellent communication and listening skills.
* A commitment to learning and teamwork.
* Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check (cost covered by us).
* Experience with Emotional Behavioral Disorder or Youth Work is a plus!
What We Offer
* A competitive salary:
o Unqualified: Base salary of £24,604.58, earning up to £32,348.58 with sleep-in shifts.
o Qualified: Base salary of £27,107.08, earning up to £34,851.08 with sleep-in shifts.
* A sleep-in allowance of £64 per night.
