* Full Time – 37 hours
* Contract: Permanent
* Salary: £24,531.00 + £51.11 sleep-in allowance
* Work Pattern: Days, nights, weekend availability & Sleep-ins
It is essential that the successful candidate holds a valid driver’s licence and has access to a car. Dyfrig House operates multiple services between Cardiff Central and Newport Road, and you will be required to work across these locations.
What is great about the role?
Dyfrig House provides supported accommodation for homeless people motivated to address their alcohol and substance use issues. We support these individuals through engagement in recovery & treatment services and housing-related support to enable independent living. We collaborate with Pobl’s treatment and local recovery services to support individuals on their journey to recovery, facilitating positive moves into independent living. Some supported individuals may have involvement with the criminal justice system, offering an opportunity to support positive life changes.
Your Duties Will Include
* Engaging and interacting with the people we support
* Supporting clients as directed by the Project Worker according to tailored support plans
* Conducting wellbeing checks
* Ensuring building security, health & safety checks, and awareness of building occupants
* Reception duties
* Dealing with challenging behaviours and responding to needs
* Using IT systems to record interactions and maintain documentation in line with policies
* Promoting a safe and supportive environment for personal growth
This role involves delivering intensive support around each client’s recovery, addressing complex behaviours and needs such as alcohol misuse, mental health issues, substance misuse, anti-social behaviour, and offending behaviour. You will work with diverse personalities at different recovery stages, requiring adaptable engagement approaches.
Part of your role includes sleep-in shifts, with provided accommodation including a bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen facilities.
