About the Role:
Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will be responsible for processing and managing financial accounting and reporting for SSP Netherlands, including management accounting tasks like period-end journals and performance review with senior management. You will also handle reporting on balance sheet areas such as intercompany transactions, prepare audit-related documentation, and liaise with statutory auditors.
What you'll be doing:
* Process period-end journals and review P&L performance against forecasts, managing accruals and prepayments, with commentary on variances.
* Prepare intercompany workings and upload to MIS for Netherlands.
* Coordinate with outsourcing partners to ensure supplier reconciliations are current and all invoices are processed.
* Report weekly sales via the till system and verify credit card and cash receipts.
* Review franchise fee charges and reconcile them with turnover data.
* Prepare and process monthly payroll journals.
* Handle creditor payments and other financial transactions.
* Perform and substantiate balance sheet reconciliations periodically.
Requirements:
* Part-qualified or qualified ACCA/ACA.
* Over 5 years of accounting experience.
* Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
* Experience working with senior management and external audits.
* Proficiency with SAP ERP System.
* Experience in the retail sector and financial reporting.
