Aldar Academies are currently seeking an outstanding Teacher - Upper Key Stage 2 with a specialism in English and Reading for Mamoura British Academy in Abu Dhabi commencing August 2026. The successful candidate will teach the core subjects of Maths and Science across the year group along with some Foundation Subjects.

C. Teaching and learning:
� To be able to teach all areas of the Primary English National Curriculum with a focus on Maths and Science across Year 5 or Year 6.
� Organising the classroom, learning resources and creating displays to encourage a positive learning environment and support the development of the Mamoura British Academy USP in this area.
� Providing support and interventions for students with EAL or who have additional learning needs.
� Evidencing children's work and learning in line with the Mamoura British Academy Marking and Feedback policy.
� Being reflective of lessons taught and student progress, and adjusting planning, curriculum and continuous provision to reflect this.
� Ensuring that the Mamoura British Academy Teacher and Learner DNA language and attributes are being embedded throughout the curriculum.
� Contribute to the development of teaching and learning across the school by sharing best practice, participating in school CPD and T&L initiatives.
� To be able to demonstrate effective use of technology through innovative and creative lesson delivery and continuous provision.
D. Assessment and data:
� Taking responsibility for the attainment and progress of all children to ensure that they reach above expected expectations.
� Using data provided by assessments to influence further planning and interventions.
� Providing regular feedback to parents and carers on a student's progress at Parent Teacher Conferences and other meetings.
� To plan, prepare and contribute to termly Pupil Progress meetings.
E. Behaviour management and duties:
� To follow the Mamoura British Academy behaviour management policy and promote the TRACK Values to set high expectations.
� Manage classes effectively, using approaches which are appropriate to pupils' needs in order to inspire, motivate and challenge pupils.
� Be a positive role model and demonstrate consistently the positive attitudes, values and behaviour which are expected of pupils.
� Carry out playground and other duties in a punctual, interactive and proactive manner.
� Ensure that any concerns relating to behaviour & Safeguarding are accurately followed up on and logged on CPOMS.
F. Wider professional responsibilities
� To work as part of a curriculum action group, supporting planning, assessment, resources and special events linked to that team.
� Support with organising and taking part in school events, outings and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening.
� Communicate effectively with parents/carers with regards to student's achievements and well-being using school systems/processes.
� To run a weekly ECA each term to enhance the provision we offer for our students.
Minimum Qualification
� A Bachelor degree in Education or Bachelor Degree in a related subject with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
Minimum Experience
� Minimum of 3 years teaching experience in the English National Curriculum.
� Leadership experience desirable
