We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Irvine, California. This Contract-to-Permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to financial operations and reporting across multiple entities. The role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong accounting expertise and a collaborative mindset.
Responsibilities:
• Process full-cycle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions with accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare and post journal entries, general ledger adjustments, and accruals to ensure smooth monthly and year-end closings.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and account reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies to maintain financial integrity.
• Utilize MRI Software for property and financial management tasks, including reporting, billing, and tenant ledger maintenance.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and perform variance analysis in alignment with company policies and accounting standards.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors by providing necessary documentation and addressing inquiries during audits.
• Support invoice routing and approval workflows using Avid DS for efficient processing.
• Share and manage files using tools like SharePoint to facilitate collaborative reporting and record-keeping.• A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on month-end close processes.
• Proficiency in handling general ledger tasks, including journal entries and adjustments.
• Demonstrated expertise in account and bank reconciliations.
• Familiarity with MRI Software for financial and property management.
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions.
• Strong analytical skills for financial statement preparation and variance analysis.
• Ability to work with tools like Avid DS and SharePoint for workflow management and collaboration.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
