We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Pre- Registration Department as the Pre-Registration supervisor.

The successful candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Health Board systems and have good keyboard skills.

The successful candidate will require Supervisor experience, with excellent management, organisational and communication skills to join our busy team.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day to day running of the Pre-Registration department and the team.

Essential to the role, you will have experience and knowledge of systems and databases and to be competent in clinical systems such as WPAS, WAP and WCP.

Experience of using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook are also essential skills.

Experience of working within an office environment, with experience of supervising staff.

The successful applicant will be a proactive team member who can demonstrate a keen interest in learning and development and can demonstrate efficient organisational and prioritisation skills in order to contribute to the smooth effective operation of the team.

Qualifications/Abilities

Essential criteria

1. 5 GCSE passes or equivalent, and / or relevant Health Records experience
2. Experience of working within an office environment with a minimum of 2 years’ experience of supervising staff.
3. Experience of measuring performance & implementing change
4. Experience using systems and databases and to be competent in clinical systems such as WPAS/WAP/WCP.
5. Level 4 - Diploma level qualification or equivalent skills/knowledge experience to academic level

Desirable criteria

6. Ability to travel within geographical area
7. Able to work hours flexibly

Abilities

Essential criteria

8. Microsoft Office Skills – Creating word documents, powerpoint presentations and spreadsheet data input
9. Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of staff and public both verbally and in writing
10. Ability to prioritise own and others work, ability to manage staff
11. Ability to handle complex problems, to deal positively with difficult situations.

Desirable criteria

12. Attainment of ISM in supervisory management or equivalent
13. IHRIM certificate/diploma
