This role is based in London

Omdia is seeking an exceptional and experienced Account Director to join our team in the Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) region. The role will be focused on semiconductors and adjacent sectors such as enterprise technology, industrial and automotive. This is a pivotal role within one of the world’s largest and most influential analyst firms. The successful candidate will be a senior individual contributor fostering client relationships at senior levels and implementing strategic initiatives to drive commercial success in line with our goals.

This is a UK-based role with a balanced working schedule in office in Blackfriars, London.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Acquisition:

1. Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline by identifying and qualifying potential clients.
2. Conduct presentations and product demonstrations to showcase our solutions and address client needs.
3. Collaborate with internal teams to customize proposals and solutions that align with client requirements.

Relationship Management:

4. Cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and industry stakeholders.
5. Expand within existing accounts through relationships and prospecting new personas to engage with
6. Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their business challenges and proposing tailored solutions.
7. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.

Sales Targets and Reporting:

8. Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual revenue targets to ensure the success of Omdia, the intelligence and advisory business of Informa TechTarget.
9. Deliver on sales targets and work towards exceeding them, contributing to the overall company revenue goals.
10. Provide regular and accurate sales forecasts, reports, and updates to management.
11. Utilise CRM tools for efficient pipeline management and reporting.

Collaboration and Communication:

12. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development and marketing, to align strategies and enhance offerings.
13. Communicate effectively with internal teams to share market insights and contribute to product/service enhancements.

Qualifications

14. Demonstrable experience in semiconductors, ideally pre-existing client relationships and sector knowledge. We will look favourably on experience in Omdia’s core markets of enterprise technology, consumer tech, IT channels, media, telecommunications and industrial technology.
15. The ability to demonstrate a consultative approach when working with business-to-business buyers of research and consulting services.
16. A confident and articulate verbal and written communicator, who can foster strong relationships both internally and externally.
17. Demonstrates a pragmatic and commercially astute approach to decision making.
18. Possesses excellent prioritisations skills and has the foresight to anticipate obstacles and needs.
19. Has gravitas and mental agility when presenting solutions, creates proposals and close sales based on thoughtful analysis of customer needs and expectations.

Required Skills & Experience

20. 5+ years of experience in frontline sales with demonstrated success.
21. Track record in navigating complex sales cycles and consistently meeting or exceeding sales KPIs.
22. Proven success in growing key accounts and securing new business with a focus on market intelligence subscription, renewals, cross-sell/upsell and analyst services.
23. Proven expertise in the technology sector, with an established network of clients.
24. Language skills will be looked on highly favourably to support our healthy base of international clients and prospects.
25. Informa TechTarget offers a balanced working schedule with an expectation of three days per week in the office or spending time face-to-face with clients and colleagues.
