Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by handling various tasks related to materials management, stocking, and logistics. Responsibilities
* Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
* Manage inventory using warehouse management systems, ensuring accurate stock levels.
* Handle materials with care, including heavy lifting and proper storage techniques.
* Assist in picking and packing orders for shipping, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Load and unload goods from lorries, maintaining organisation within the warehouse.
* Participate in shipping and receiving activities, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse space to promote safety.
* Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.
Requirements
* Previous warehouse experience is preferred, with familiarity in materials handling.
* Proficient in using warehouse management systems; experience with AS400 is an advantage.
* Strong mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment maintenance as needed.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with warehouse duties.
* Experience in construction or related fields is beneficial but not essential.
* Excellent attention to detail for accurate order fulfilment and inventory management.
