About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary Teaching Assistant to join a well-respected and inclusive school in the area of Wakefield. This is a full-time position, starting this September, working with students across Key Stages 3 and 4. Requirements
* A minimum of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent experience).
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one).
* A genuine passion for helping students overcome barriers to learning.
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
* Good literacy and numeracy skills.
* Experience working with young people in an educational or similar setting is desirable.

Responsibilities
* Assisting the classroom teacher with lesson preparation and delivery.
* Providing one-on-one and small group support to students.
* Helping students with special educational needs (SEN) or those who are struggling academically.
* Listening to students read and helping to develop their literacy skills.
* Creating and preparing classroom displays and resources.
* Supporting the teacher in managing classroom behaviour.
* Supervising students during break times, lunch, or on trips.
* Helping to develop and implement individualised learning plans.
* Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to the teacher.
* Supporting students with their social and emotional development.
* Ensuring the health and safety of students in the classroom and around the school.
