2 Shift Rotation:
Early: Mon – Thu (0600 – 1400); Fri (0600 – 1330)
Late: Mon – Thu (1345 – 2145); Fri (1345 – 2045)
We are proud to be working with a UK market leader in precision manufacturing and are currently looking for a Manual Turner to work with them in their Basildon site.
Responsibilities
* Fully experienced in lathe (Manual Machines)
* Able to read engineering drawings.
* Able to work on their own initiative but also be part of a team
* Cut, grind or drill materials as required
* Carefully following procedures and safety guidelines. Including company procedures, operating standards, and process documentation
* Maintain an accurate log of production and equipment problems, adjustments, and repairs.
* Machine inspections for mechanical or safety issues
* Ensure machines are well stocked with tools and material to ensure limited downtime
* Safety focus to ensure themselves and others are safe around operational machinery
* Flexibility to support production requirements during busier periods
Requirements
* Experience of working to high quality standards on precision components
* Knowledge of safety and manufacturing regulations and procedures
* Good knowledge of general engineering practices such as measuring/ marking off/ manual drilling / tapping / fabrication set up and tacking.
* Desirable - Experience using CNC machines
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Can work effectively within a team
