Paediatric Clinical Governance Coordinator/Personal Assistant
Main duties of the job
* Lead the paediatric clinical governance agenda, ensuring that all paediatric and neonatal procedural documents are current, in date and aligned with NICE/RCPCH guidelines and standards, and support the policy harmonisation process.
* Provide administrative support and PA duties to the Directorate Manager, Clinical Director and Matron.
* Ensure safeguarding and welfare commitments for children, young people and vulnerable adults are upheld.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* GSCE Grade C in Maths and English, or equivalent
* RSA 3 Typing/Word Processing, or equivalent
* Secretarial/PA Diploma
* Business Technology NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience
* Shorthand and Speedwriting
Knowledge
* Experience of taking formal minutes/notes, producing and updating action plans
* Significant experience in a similar role or equivalent knowledge
* Previous medical secretary or PA experience
* Knowledge of Medical Terminology
* Knowledge of the principles of Clinical Governance
Skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and interpersonal skills, able to communicate highly sensitive, confidential information professionally at all levels
* Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft PowerPoint, Publisher and Excel
* Understanding of the importance of good Information Governance and the confidential nature of the role
* Ability to use own initiative and work independently to solve problems, deal with multiple issues, prioritise own workload and meet tight deadlines
* Ability to work as part of a team and maintain good working relationships
