The role
The Penycae Inn is looking for an experienced and passionate Second Chef to join our busy kitchen team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented chef who enjoys working with fresh ingredients, takes pride in producing high-quality dishes, and thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, or Second Chef
- Strong knowledge of food preparation and presentation
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards
- Excellent organisational and teamwork skills as we run a very fast paced kitchen
- Understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety procedures
- A positive attitude and passion for great food
Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations
- Preparing and cooking high-quality dishes
- Maintaining food hygiene and safety standards
- Supporting menu development and specials
- Helping manage stock control and food ordering
- Training and supporting junior kitchen staff
