Product Engineer – Manufacturing SectorAn established and forward-thinking manufacturing business is seeking a Product Engineer to join their engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a wide variety of technically challenging projects, supporting the full lifecycle from concept through to production.Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in the design and development of bespoke systems, often under tight deadlines and with diverse technical requirements. This role offers a dynamic environment where innovation and problem-solving are highly valued.Key ResponsibilitiesEngineering Focus:
1. Design and cost-harnessing systems from initial concept
2. Develop systems through full-scale production
3. Provide technical support to internal teams, customers, and suppliers
4. Prepare technical, cost, and delivery proposals
5. Select and defineponents for quotation and production
6. Create and maintain manufacturing documentation
7. Contribute to product and process optimisation
8. Collaborate with engineering teams across the wider group
9. Conduct off-site visits for project development and technical support
Project Involvement:
10. Plan and manage engineering projects, including progress reviews
11. Act as the main technical contact for customer development projects
12. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
13. Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and suppliers
14. Perform other related duties as required
Candidate ProfileQualifications & Skills:
15. HND or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, or Materials Engineering
16. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAD software
17. Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
18. Excellent teamwork andmunication skills
Additional Requirements:
19. Flexibility to manage multiple projects simultaneously
20. Willingness to travel occasionally within the UK and Europe
