We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to support developing, monitoring, and adapting the strategic goals of the business to grow Rest of World Sales and market share for the Finlay Brand. About the Role To support the development of a strong dealer network through proactive management of dealers in each region To consistently focus on evaluating dealer performance and identifying and sourcing new channels for sales to drive the Finlay business forward. To prospect new dealers for territories and markets segments not adequately covered To partner with senior leadership and the product management team to identify new products demanded by the market, and to creatively suggest new products/ product improvements. To articulate the Finlay product offering to the potential dealers and end-users; to include product benefits, lifetime cost analysis and bespoke financing by leveraging the services of Terex Financial Services (TFS). To partner with TFS to develop creative solutions to dealer & customer financing needs. To collect and analyze market data to assist the development of business strategies and means by which business levels might be increased. To provide market feedback on New Product Development To actively participate in establishing and tracking dealer / end user customer satisfaction levels. To adopt and/or assist with implementation of any new management techniques, systems, processes or reports as appropriate. To gain and maintain intelligence and specialist knowledge of the culture and methods prevailing in the market and identify the means by which to achieve year on year growth. To ensure compliance with Terex and local laws and advise of any contradictions with company policies and good business practices. To carry out any other reasonable duties that may be required from time to time. Note: The role will also include some elements of what would typically be considered dealer manager responsibilities for certain key dealer accounts, as business requirements dictate. Experience, Skills & Knowledge Experience of successfully growing business globally utilizing a dealer network. Candidates should demonstrate depth of knowledge on the different requirements of all types of sale and rental. The successful candidate must demonstrate an ability to assess the potential and suitability of prospective partners for the Finlay business, its needs and next steps in delivering business growth. Previous success in working with a third party dealer network and customers, setting challenging targets and working collaboratively to meet these. Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and current best practices involved in new business development and dealer management. In-depth technical, sales and applications knowledge of our products would be a major advantage. Significant direct experience of managing dealer accounts within the capital equipment construction business is required. Excellent interpersonal skills to prepare and deliver formal and informal presentations to dealers and customers. Excellent communications skills. Ideally fluent (to professional business level) in English. Ability to work in a fast paced and demanding environment. You must be goal and result orientated with the energy and commitment to drive growth for the Finlay brand. Significant regional and long-distance travel required.
