As the Head of Regeneration, you will lead the programme of complex regeneration projects from inception through to contract tender stage, including the stakeholder engagement process, design and planning, the management of internal and external project teams, governance and audit, as well as managing financial viability and scheme budgets. You’ll be working across the organisation with dedicated teams, evaluating and monitoring the social value objectives for every project. In addition to being an ambassador for Southern Housing in relationships with external stakeholders, always promoting a positive image and upholding the corporate values.
Your role within the Regeneration & Strategic Projects team will be invaluable, as you will lead and control the programme to remain on budget, brief, design and quality and to always mitigate potential risk. By identifying new regeneration and strategic project opportunities you will help secure pipeline opportunities for Southern Housing. Your main office will be Fleet House in Farringdon, with the option to work in a hybrid pattern as agreed with your manager. The role will require some evening and weekend work, as well as a willingness to travel to different regions within our areas of operation.
What you’ll have
* Senior level experience and proven track record of delivering asset as well as multi-phase estate regeneration projects, including the development of innovative strategies, social value initiatives, community steering groups, and delivery mechanisms.
* Deep understanding of the regeneration and development process from inception to handover, with experience of delivering projects of varying size and complexity and securing major partnership opportunities whilst delivering links between property development and other regeneration and economic development outcomes.
* Experience of working with local communities and stakeholders, leading and managing engagement strategies specific to the regeneration project.
* Experience of leading consultant teams through land purchase, design and planning, and construction tender process.
* Experience in the preparation, management and control of complex budgets and thorough understanding of financial appraisals and risk analysis of projects.
* Well-developed communication skills and an ability to collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders and partners, persuading and influencing at senior management level.
* You’ll approach activities with a positive can-do attitude, demonstrating real ownership of issues and delivering on commitments.
