Job Description:
We’re looking for leaders at Starbucks. Join us for coffee, stay for the community, connections, and opportunities.
We’ve got an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a store manager. Find your place as a leader at Starbucks and help us build the brand’s future. Here your voice is brewed into everything we do. As a leader at Starbucks, you will be empowered to treat the store as if it is your own business.
To be successful in this role, you’ll have previous experience in leading a team in a dynamic retail or hospitality environment. You’ll champion our mission and values to create our Starbucks experience for our customers and partners. You’ll understand your market, get to know the competition, and identify opportunities to drive store profitability and your business forward. You’ll be an ambassador for our partner networks, ensuring our partners feel they belong.
The best part about this role is that no two days are ever the same! As a store leader, working in one of our dynamic stores, you’ll set an example and lead from the front on shift. A typical day could include:
1. Executing store operations through your team, on your scheduled shifts and days off, ensuring coverage for opening, closing, and weekends.
2. Analyzing data and using observations in-store to inform decisions that improve customer experience and store performance.
3. Managing labor within budget using forecasting and scheduling tools, and recruiting diverse, talented partners to meet store needs.
4. Implementing new initiatives to enable operational excellence and drive results.
5. Supporting partner growth through performance management, coaching, and building positive relationships.
6. Setting challenging but achievable goals to drive engagement and performance.
Our stores’ working hours may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays.
All retail partners begin with an introductory training program led by in-store trainers and coaches, immersing you in Starbucks culture and setting you up for success. These programs are delivered in-store, providing on-the-job learning supported by your manager.
In return, we offer a competitive salary and benefits including:
* 28 days holiday (including Bank Holidays) plus a personal day each year
* Free drinks and food on shift
* Store bonus program
* Bean stock options
* Comprehensive training and access to Starbucks Global Academy
* A weekly free bag of coffee and 30% partner discount
* Discounts with local and national retailers
* Life assurance
* Interest-free loans for rental deposits
* Employee Assistance Programme
* Recognition schemes and awards
* Long-term career opportunities
If you’re seeking a new challenge, we’ll welcome, challenge, and inspire you. Here, you’ll be heard and belong.
Our process:
1. Application
2. CV review
3. First interview
4. Second interview
5. Offer and onboarding
Starbucks is committed to diversity and inclusion. All applicants will be treated fairly regardless of race, religion, sex, nationality, age, disability, sexual orientation, marital status, gender identity, or expression.
