Job Title: Year 1 Primary School Teacher (Maternity Cover)
Rate of pay: M1 – UPS3 Dependant on Experience
Location: Tamworth, West Midlands
Description: Full Time, Long Term Contract
**About the role**
As a Year 1 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality, engaging, and well-structured curriculum in line with the National Curriculum, with a strong focus on early literacy, phonics, numeracy, and foundational skills. You will plan and deliver lessons tailored to the needs of young learners, create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment, and use effective behaviour management strategies to support positive learning behaviours. Key responsibilities also include assessing and tracking pupil progress, using this information to inform planning and provide targeted support, and ensuring all pupils are able to achieve their full potential. You will work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, and parents to support pupil development and wellbeing, while contributing to wider school life, adhering to safeguarding procedures, and maintaining high professional standards at all times.

**Role Requirements**
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) confirming employability as a Teacher in England, Scotland & Wales
Previous Experience working in a Primary School settings
DBS On the update service, or willingness to obtain one through Connex Education
Strong classroom management skills
A clear passion for working with children and fostering their educational growth
Commitment to the profession of working in Education
