Overview
Senior Finance Business Partner required to join the WTWA finance team for 18 months. Based at Wythenshawe Hospital supporting the Respiratory Division. You will be a key member of the Senior Finance Leadership Team responsible for using financial and business acumen to support the division to develop and support the overall financial strategy. This role supports a complex and growing clinical division and reports to the Deputy Director of Finance.
Main duties of the job
* Provide financial leadership to the Divisions, sharing responsibility with Clinical Directors and Divisional Directors for the overall financial management and performance of the Divisions. Ensure the production of relevant, accurate and timely financial advice and supporting information to help the Divisions achieve their agreed financial plan.
* Lead on strategic and operational finance for the division and deliver high-level financial expertise to influence decisions. Act as the finance lead in the Divisional performance management structure and work closely with Clinical Directors and Directorate Managers to deliver Directorate objectives.
* Collaborate as part of the Divisional teams to ensure Trust objectives and Financial Statutory obligations are met. Increase the level of business expertise within the Divisions and support Clinical Directors in all financial matters.
* Be a key member of the WTWA Finance Department and contribute to its overall objectives. Lead and develop the Divisional Finance Team of three staff and work to meet operational targets while enhancing patient care quality.
* Deputise for the Deputy Director of Finance where appropriate.

Person Specification
Education/Qualifications (Essential): CCAB or CIMA Qualified
Knowledge (Essential): Substantial experience in Clinical Finance or equivalent in a complex organisation; thorough understanding of NHS accounting principles and procedures.
Experience (Essential): Strong staff management and leadership skills; ability to lead and motivate a team; prepares and provides financial information for strategic decisions; significant experience in identifying, monitoring and reporting cost improvement programmes; strong spreadsheet skills.
Skills and Abilities (Essential): Excellent communication; ability to influence and negotiate; project planning and delivery; decision making; contribution to organisational strategy; commitment to developing others.
