Are you a dedicated Nurse, looking to make a difference to the lives of Adults with severe mental illness?
We're looking for a compassionate individual to join our recovery team which is part of the Oxford City Adult Mental Health Team.
The recovery teamwork with adults with severe and enduring mental illness who arecurrentlyin supportedaccommodationon the Littlemore hospital site.
You will need to be able to work autonomously, with a caseload of patients with whom you will engage and offer the recommended treatment and support. You will have experience of care processes and able to assess and plan treatment with service users. You will also be able to assess and manage risk, including use of Safeguarding processes.
There are opportunities for team working and facilitating groups such as MBT/CBT based interventions. The wider MDT consists of medics, psychological therapists, social workers, OTs, RMNs and support workers, as well as embedded workers from the third sector to support with employment, housing and social needs. In addition we are currently embedding Peer Support Workers within the teams to promote the power of lived experience and ensure that the gap between patient and clinician is bridged.
Main duties of the job
This role is open to registered mental health nurses who have extensive experience of working in adult mental health services and understand the challenges that this care group can bring.
* The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
* Conduct comprehensive, specialist nursing assessments in partnership with service users and carers.
* Develop, implement, and regularly review personalised, recovery-focused care plans.
* Deliver evidence-based interventions in line with NICE guidelines to support recovery and prevent relapse.
* Provide clinical leadership and act as a role model within a multi-disciplinary team.
* Administer medication safely and manage associated side effects in line with NMC and Trust guidelines.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
We are a supportive, dynamic and integrated team which although busy has many rewards. We care deeply about our patients and their families and carers. The City AMHT is a wonderful team to work in and this role offers an opportunity to develop senior clinical and leadership skills. The Management team are committed to the wellbeing and development of the staff working in the team.
You will be supported by an experienced leadership team from across the professions who facilitate forums for Nursing and Occupational Therapists and hold your development as central. We offer regular supervision and you will be encouraged and supported to undertake any training relevant to your professional development.
The recovery Team in part of of the The City and Northeast Oxon Adult Mental Health Team's who's main base is at the Warneford Hospital, a stones throw from the centre of Oxford and the dreamy spires. We provide care for the residents of Oxford, the local towns of Kidlington, Bicester and Woodstock, and the surrounding villages. The AMHT is split into three teams; Willow, Oak, and Aspen, which are aligned to local Primary Care Network patches. The Recovery team is attached with Oak but currently based on the Littlemore hospital site rather than the Warneford.
The recovery team operate Monday to Friday 9 am – 5pm. The team consist of a Consultant Psychiatrist, a Team Lead (SW), 2 RMNs, a support worker, and an OT who all work with a 3rd sector supported housing provideResponse and their support workers.

Education and Training
Essential criteria
* To evidence a professional qualification (degree or equivalent) and current valid professional registration.
* To evidence continuing professional development since qualification. (Portfolio may be required to be viewed at interview)
Desirable criteria
* To evidence post graduate qualifications specifically relating to an appropriate aspect of care or management
Occupational Experience
Essential criteria
* To evidence appropriate experience and a high level of knowledge about working within community mental health care with working age adults
* To evidence experience of working within a multidisciplinary team and an understanding of AMHTs and interdisciplinary working
* To evidence of understanding and experience of risk management both clinically and operationally.
* To evidence a good understanding of clinical governance and your professional legal responsibilities.
* To evidence experience of supervising other staff
Skills required - IT / Admin
Essential criteria
* To evidence IT literacy, to include the Microsoft suite of programmes
* To evidence excellent English written and verbal communication skills
* To be able to travel between sites as required
