Head of Contentious Private Client required.

The current team cover the whole remit of contentious private client work including mental capacity, contentious trusts etc. .The team's collaboration with the broader Private Client Business Group has enhanced their 360° wealth planning and mental capacity offerings.

This will be a lead role and would suit an individual who is currently practicing at Legal Director level and wants their first step into partnership or an existing partner looking for a positive and cohesive culture.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead and grow the Contentious Private Client practice
* Provide ad hoc advice on Succession & Tax matters e.g. potential challenges to wills drafted to exclude a family member
* Assist with quasi-contentious potential challenges to estates
* Run contentious instructions from S&T e.g. where partners are Executors
* Market S&T offering as a door-opener to contentious work
* Raise profile of the firm's full-service offering
* Develop cross-referral opportunities with non-contentious private client group and other business groups
* Assist with any risk issues arising in S&T to resolve at an early stage
* Mentor junior lawyers and contribute to succession planning
